Siggy Davis was born in Nürnberg, Germany the daughter of a U.S. Army LT. Col. and an Educator . Travelling extensively from the beginning of her life, Siggy grew up in Brigeport, Connecticut. By the age of nine years old Siggy was studying Acting with Dr. Gita Honneger (Yale University) and the Great contralto Jane Copeland Steven (Metropolitan Opera). By12 years old Siggy was Off-Broadway and being seen in Television and Films.

At 17 years Siggy entered Howard University where she earned a B.F.A. Diploma in Performing Arts. After University she went to New York where she became a legitimate "New York Actress" playing in Off-Broadway and Touring Productions.

In 1991 Siggy left New York City to tour internationally for 2years with the Broadway Musicals Company from New York. Being intrigued and challenged by the "European Experience" She decided to make Berlin her base of buisiness while continuing to tour 14 European Countries as well as Isreal , Africa and Asia.

Siggy has had a truly eccletic development as an artist. Encouraged by her Mentor and friend Dianne McIntyre, Siggy has toured and recorded with such Jazz Greats as; Don Pullen, Amina Claudine Myers, Olu Dara, Charlie Mariano, Hannibal Peterson, Herb Geller and James Carter. She has headlined Jazz Venues in Europe with Klaus Doldinger, Passport, Pascal von Wroblesky, Paul Kuhn Trio, Nils Landgren, Tony Martinez and Nina Hagen.

Asmuch as Siggy loved her Music,her real roots are in the Theater. Someof her notable stage roles are in "The Colored Museum" by George C. Wolf, "A star aint nothin' but a whole in Heaven" by Judi Ann Mason and The Folger Shakespeare Theatre Fellowship hosted by Michael Kahn and Franchelle Stewart Dorn. Later Musical Theater repertoire includes; Nunsense, Hair, Butterfinger's Angel, Beehive and Lets Pop with Angelika Milster. An absolute Highpoint of Siggy's career in Europe was being chosen to sing "Effie" in the Theater Des Westens production of "Dream Girls" with the direction of Tony Stevens and Mark Falcone, musical direction. Following that, Siggy landed the role of "Sonya" in the World Premiere of the Broadway hit "THE LIFE". Her performance was met with rave reviews and a excellent audience response. Under the guidance of the Creative Team of Mattias Davids, Melissa King and Steven Gross, Siggy delivered one of her best performances to date.

In Film, Siggy has worked with Spike Lee, Mario van Peebles, Brian De Palma and Mike Nichols. She teaches and lectures, being invited to the Pop/Rock Course at Hamburg Hochschule, Jazz/Rock Salzgitter Musikschule and as a Judge for the John Lennon Förderpreis.

In 1996 Siggy released herfirst self-produced CD " Siggy Davis Live in Berlin" which was recieved with rave reviews and inspired a trend of Live performance CD's in the Berlin music scene. She has also guested on recordings of Herb Geller, Charlie Mariano, Soko, Guitar Crusher, Thomas Anders, Sarah Brightman and Hot Chocolate. As well as the CD recordings from the Musicals "Beehive", "Lets Pop" and "THE LIFE".
